Breastfeeding can come with a lot of hurdles.
A lot of the time we’re left wondering, “how can something so natural be so painful?” It’s what makes so many women stop breastfeeding before they actually want to.
Cuts, blisters, wounds, cracks, soreness & infections… It can all occur. But this is where SILVERETTE® comes in and helps to make breastfeeding enjoyable so you’re able to continue loving this special bond between you and your little one.
SILVERETTE® are small nursing cups made out of 925 silver to help protect the nipples while breastfeeding.
Did you know that as an element, silver is an all-natural antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti fungal and anti bacterial element?
It not only heals, but prevents cuts, wounds, cracks, soreness and infections on the nipple.
You no longer need to waste money on special nipple creams/butters – SILVERETTE® completely takes their place. And, like some creams, you don’t need to wipe anything off prior to feedings so your babe doesn’t ingest something they shouldn’t.
As a new mom, we enjoy the simple things. It comes as no surprise that SILVERETTE® is so easy to use. After you complete your breastfeeding session, leave a couple of milk drops in each cup and apply them directly to the nipple. Keep them on as much as possible between sessions and remove them prior to your next feeding.
Again, there’s no need for any of those other products like nipple creams or nipple butters. In fact, doing so may compromise or reduce the efficacy of the product. If you choose to use those products (but why would you want a gross mess on your nipple that transfers over to your bra or nursing pads?) just make sure you don’t apply SILVERETTE® while the cream is still on your nipple.
Cleaning SILVERETTE® is just as easy as you’d expect. Simply make paste using baking soda mixed in with a small amount of water. Rub the mix on the cups, rinse thoroughly and dry. Soaps or other disinfectants are not suitable for the silver.
These cups are small, but they make a HUGE difference when you’re struggling with cracks and soreness from breastfeeding.
Have you ever used SILVERETTE® during your breastfeeding journey?
